David Allison, Ph.D.
Principal
David started at Split Rock Partners in 2009 as an Associate on our Healthcare Team. David is actively involved with Split Rock’s investments in IPS, DFine, EBR Systems, Tarsus, The Foundry, and Transcend Medical.
Prior to joining Split Rock Partners, David worked as an investment professional with PTV Sciences in Houston and Austin, TX. At PTV he focused on venture investments in the medical devices and life sciences sectors. During his tenure at PTV David was involved with the firm’s investments in Apollo Endosurgery, On-X Life Technologies, IDev Technologies and Asuragen. Prior to PTV Sciences, David worked as a NSF REU Research Associate at The Cleveland Clinic’s Heart Valve Laboratory and spent time at SurModics in the diagnostics and drug discovery business unit.
David holds a B.S.E with honors in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa, and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Rice University.
